Clamato Bloc Party...A Tribute To Cap'n Lou
c 1995 Buttfishing Productions
p 1995 Sac-o-Ligis Music
The person to whom this tape is respectfully dedicated needs no introduction. He has been a wrestler, a manager, and actor, a cartoon character, Cindi Lauper's father and of course, Mario, Nintendo's immortal plumber. He has made us laugh, cry and wonder. He has been a positive role model and an example to us all. His accomplishments are too numerous to list, so I'll stop. This album goes out to the irreplaceable Captain Lou. Put on your rubber bands and raise high your Clamato; We love you, Cap'n Lou. Love the Hek-Atomic Cherries.
RECORDED '95 ON 4-TRACK IN STEVE'S ROOM.
ASSISTED BY ED ABELL AND JASON TRAHAN.
SONGS WERE WRITTEN '92-'94.
THE HEK-ATOMIC CHERRIES WOULD LIKE TO EXTEND THEIR MOST SINCERE THANKS TO ALL THOSE EVERYWHERE WHO ACTUALLY GAVE A SHIT ABOUT THE NOISE WE MAKE. THAT'S JUST CRAZY. SEE YOU LATER.
Some people think it's really hip,
To have a giant bunkie lip,
To have it hanging off your face,
To have it hanging everyplace.
I really love my bunkie lip,
I wish that I could kiss it,
If I lost my bunkie lip,
I sure as hell would miss it.
It's cool to have a bunkie lip,
The size of giant battle ships,
If you don't have a bunkie lip,
Than you suck!
I really love my bunkie lip,
I wish that I could kiss it,
If I lost my bunkie lip,
I sure as hell would miss it.
I really love my bunkie lip,
I wish that I could kiss it,
If I lost my bunkie lip,
I sure as hell would miss it.
Smiling like a moron,
Provoking my disgust.
Grinning like an imbecile,
That goddamned Crazy Bus!
Children staring blankly,
Their eyes all waxy glazed.
Apparently to the public,
This bus is plainly crazed!
There's a Crazy Bus,
And they won't let me on it.
All I want to do,
Is sit on the crazy bus with you.
Spinning like a Ferris wheel,
Bouncing down the road.
I wish that I was really young,
'Cause then I could have rode.
It would have made me happy,
And giddy with delight.
If that guy had let me on,
I'd have rode that bus all night.
There's a Crazy Bus,
And they won't let me on it.
All I want to do,
Is sit on the crazy bus with you.
Yellow and bug-eyed,
Tongue hanging out.
Grinning and bouncing,
Must be crazy.
The old man wouldn't let me on,
The old man made me cry.
When I said, "Please let me on,"
He kicked me in the thigh.
Sometimes when I am sleeping,
I dream of Crazy Bus.
I really hate that mean old guy,
I think his name was Gus.
There's a Crazy Bus,
And they won't let me on it.
All I want to do,
Is sit on the crazy bus with you.
* Jay Burton might have written a line or two.
Different Beans (Miller/Raine)
I hate potatoes,
I hate greens,
But I love my different beans.
Different beans,
For different days,
I don't mean corn, I don't mean maize.
Different beans are great for lunch.
Different beans are great for lunch.
Different beans are great for lunch.
Different beans are great for lunch.
I eat my beans,
One at a time,
But first I must peel off the rind.
I like to sit,
And smell the fumes,
Of heterogeneous legumes.
Different beans are great for lunch.
Different beans are great for lunch.
Different beans are great for lunch.
Different beans are great for lunch.
When I crawl into your face,
I see the world that's through you eyes,
And everything is black and white,
But that's no surprise.
And nothing that you see is true,
Unless it's going to bother you,
And if it does you're not going to,
Want to think about it.
Now you're gonna do it again,
Your gonna do it again,
I hope you do it right this time.
You're gonna break her heart,
You're gonna break her heart,
I hope you do it right this time.
Every single time we speak,
I know you never show your hand,
I wanna make you shut your mouth,
But you won't understand.
You'd probably run away again,
And start to watch your damned TV,
And when I call you'd let it ring,
'Cause you know it's me.
Now you're gonna do it again,
Your gonna do it again,
I hope you do it right this time.
You're gonna break her heart,
You're gonna break her heart,
I hope you do it right this time.
You never want to budge and inch.
It's hard to see when your eyes are shut!
Now you're gonna do it again,
Your gonna do it again,
I hope you do it right this time.
You're gonna break her heart,
You're gonna break her heart,
I hope you do it right this time.
Kwickee Mart!
The sky is sitting thinking of its sister far away,
It wants to write a letter yet it don't know what to say.
And it stares down at the world.
And it stares down at the world.
And it wants to know.
And it wants to know.
The tree is softly singing to its sister far away,
It's singing of a Broken Bird and how it flew away.
And it stares down at the world.
And it stares down at the world.
And it wants to know.
And it wants to know.
Fuck Tom Sawyer.
And it stares down at the world.
And it stares down at the world.
And it wants to know.
And it wants to know.
The rock sits on top of mountains guarding off the chill,
Until the day its sister comes and knocks it off the hill.
And it stares down at the world.
And it stares down at the world.
And it wants to know.
And it wants to know.
Sitting on the carpet floor with a fraction of the air,
In my mind I can see their faces, surrounded by their hair.
I can smell their clothes against me, a whisper coarse and brown,
In a paper bag called maybe, not enough to go around.
Don't use it all at once,
You need something to remember,
You only get a single plain brown wrapper.
Don't let it slip away,
Save it for a rainy morning,
You only get a single plain brown wrapper.
Late at tight I can leave myself and wander through the trees,
And I can sleep on a spot of sun with my arms around my knees.
I'm surrounded by different faces, who never think to stay,
I don't wanna wake up tomorrow, 'cause I'm not through with today.
Don't use it all at once,
You need something to remember,
You only get a single plain brown wrapper.
Don't let it slip away,
Save it for a rainy morning,
You only get a single plain brown wrapper.
You only get a single plain brown wrapper.
You only get a single plain brown wrapper.
You only get a single plain brown wrapper.
You only get a single plain brown wrapper.
I wish that I could take your breath and tie it around your neck just
like a scarf,
Or take your hands and lock them deep inside my pockets.
I want to kiss your eyes, and show them all the things that they might
see,
I want to listen to your breathing as you sleep.
...and if I were to say these things,
Would you run away and hide behind a tree.
...and if I were to follow you,
Would you please excuse me, it's all that I know how to do.
All I want is just one chance.
All I want is just one chance.
All I want is just one chance.
All I want is just one chance.
I want to touch your hair and tie it up in braids around your neck,
I want to whisper something in your ear I'm not sure what.
I'll never tell you this, but I'll speak a million times all to myself,
I know that I can't live forever.
...and if I lived a million lives,
I couldn't bear to have to watch her die a million times.
...and if I were to run away,
And be alone again, I think I'd rather be dead anyway.
All I want is just one chance.
All I want is just one chance.
All I want is just one chance.
All I want is just one chance.
All I want is just one chance.
All I want is just one chance.
All I want is just one chance.
All I want is just one chance.
I probably should have ripped it up,
But I couldn't seem to take my eyes away,
From the words that I had found.
I know they don't belong to me,
But I also know she doesn't want them back,
What happens next is no surprise.
And now I know,
Why she let me see her crying,
I only hope it works out right.
Don't be afraid,
You know I'll always be here,
It's really all that I can do.
Look what I found.
Look what I found.
Look what I found.
A piece of paper lying on the ground.
I wish I didn't have to go,
But I think there's something else I have to do,
I really hope you understand.
Of course you never will,
You only saw me once and I was gone,
I just wish I could know for sure.
And now I know,
Why she let me see her crying,
I only hope it works out right.
Don't be afraid,
You know I'll always be here,
It's really all that I can do.
Look what I found.
Look what I found.
Look what I found.
A piece of paper lying on the ground.
Now that I'm here,
I know I'll never come back,
I'll only wave from the other side.
Why didn't you tell me sooner,
I need more time to think.
I'll get it done though,
Don't worry it's okay.
Just leave it up to me,
Just go away so I can think.
If you really want this,
Just get out of my way.
I'm sorry for the blood.
I'm sorry for the pain.
I always grope for someone,
As I fall.
Just leave it up to me,
Just go away so I can think.
If you really want this,
Just get out of my way.
I'm sorry for the blood.
I'm sorry for the pain.
I always grope for someone,
As I fall.
Why didn't you tell me sooner,
I need more time to think.
I'll get it done though,
Don't worry it's okay.
I'm sorry for the blood.
I'm sorry for the pain.
I always grope for someone,
As I fall.
The trains don't ever run on time,
They always seem to lag behind,
And when they finally chug on through,
Everyone has gone.
Red train, blue train you can't hide,
You know what they look like inside,
And even though the red one's first,
Don't take it, please don't take it.
The red trains always get there first,
But the blue ones are the worst,
'Cause when they finally chug on through,
Everyone has gone.
Red train, blue train you can't hide,
You know what they look like inside,
And even though the red one's first,
Don't take it, please don't take it.
Please go back to where you're from, you can't live in the station,
We'll always wait for you no matter where you go.
I hope you want to leave you can't return your ticket,
They'll never take you where you're going.
Red train, blue train you can't hide,
You know what they look like inside,
And even though the red one's first,
Don't take it, please don't take it.
Surging forward like a mammoth,
Crushing all those in it's path,
Terror is the Dragon Wagon,
Smoke an fury is it's wrath.
Kids in line for the Dragon Wagon.
Kids in line for the Dragon Wagon.
Kids in line for the Dragon Wagon.
Kids in line for the Dragon Wagon.
A molten ball of liquid iron,
A ton of molten flaming lead,
No kids escape the Dragon Wagon,
Everyone will wind up dead.
Kids in line for the Dragon Wagon.
Kids in line for the Dragon Wagon.
Kids in line for the Dragon Wagon.
Kids in line for the Dragon Wagon.
Wicker Frisbee (Abell/Miller/Raine)
Giant strolling down the hill,
His footprints leaving craters.
Crushing flowers, crushing trees,
'Cause he thinks they'll grow back later.
Disk of reeds sits in his palm,
That giant's mighty grisly.
He springs and throws into the air,
The mighty wicker Frisbee.
Wicker Frisbee in the air,
Wicker Frisbee in my hair,
Wicker Frisbee in my face,
Wicker Frisbee all over the place.
Wicker Frisbee in the air,
Wicker Frisbee in my hair,
Wicker Frisbee in my face,
Wicker Frisbee all over the place.
The Frisbee flies with gilded arch,
It's grace yet quite triumphant.
I squint my eyes as it nears the sun,
That Frisbee Aye Carumba!
The Wicker Frisbee cleaves the sun,
And lays it out in pieces.
It's fragments lie like golden coins,
The kind made famous by Croesus.
Wicker Frisbee in the south,
Wicker Frisbee in my mouth,
Wicker Frisbee on my head,
Wicker Frisbee now I'm dead.
Wicker Frisbee in the south,
Wicker Frisbee in my mouth,
Wicker Frisbee on my head,
Wicker Frisbee now I'm dead.
